Can The Iphone Or 3g Iphone Be Unlocked For Cricket?

3 December 2009 2 Comments

I want to get the new unlimited plan from cricket for $49.99 I’ve heard they have a cdma network enabled iphone available or that you can flash the iphone from gsm to cdma that cricket use’s. Also i’ve heard you can get a universal sim card and flash it to work with cricket.

i do believe the iPhone and 3G iPhone will still be exclusively available for AT&T. i do have the original iPhone and as far as I know, it cannot be unlocked while keeping all of its features. for sure, i do know that there are no other carriers which support Visual Voicemail.

There is NO way you can make a GSM phone run on a CDMA network, these are two different cell technologies that are NOT compatible with each other, you can only use the iphone with another GSM carrier (if unlocked) such as T-Mobile.
And there is no such thing as a Universal simcard…Cricket phones CANT use simcards, they use the CDMA network!
