England – the birth place of cricket has never won any ICC trophy yet. Youngsters in england want to be like David Backhaem or wayne roonie but not like Andrew flintoff or Michael Vaughn. When you see jam packed stadium when matches held in india, south africa or australia and when you see empty stands in england which is the birth place of cricket, you can easily make out the difference. What could be the reason behind it?

Definetly,
Most of the English are concentrated on football than on cricket.
The recent failures of the english team also contribute to this
It is the younger generation that is less interested in cricket in England.
Although they still have a big population of “old folk” followers and enthusiasts.
Cricket began in England as primarily a gentleman’s game and has remained that way.
Although in other countries like Aus, Ind, Pak etc cricket is one of the national sports, every kid has a cricket bat at home.
yes, ofcourse. because there are no young talents in the team and there in england football and moto gp races are popular now-a-days. u missed lewis hamilton in ur list of role models.
Yes Ofcourse except ashes test England’s people not see cricket more
no i dont think so since THE ECB pays gud money 2 the players and wid the emergence of IPL and P20 more and more ppl r taking up the game so it will be a balance between the 2 sports
Any thing which is over done makes people lose interest and hence it happening every where
Yes ofcourse, due to their poor shows in all icc tournaments
Lack of cricket talents in England. Other sports
because football is much more popular
