Yes! The T20 format will attract many more eyeballs for the game in the coming days.
No! True cricket lovers would still want to be tuned into Test cricket.
Who cares! The IPL will take some time to spread its tentacles.

IPL is more about competitive entertainment than competition purely. It is a great format since majority sport loving population of the world want excitement packed into minimal time.
One advantage that IPL gives is that players of different nations bond in a team effort. It will certainly reduce animosity levels between rivals.
Apart from that in pure sense cricket is Test Match, 5 days of strategising, susatined effort and the courage to be detached from instant results. Like a well thought out chess game.
One days will still remain as the essential test of cricketing acumen. And it will centre on results rather than skills. Result has to be delivered, no matter what.
Hope my views suffice.
yes it will change the world of cricket in positive way as well as negative way in positive way it will make t20 the more important over 50-50
in terms of negative it will make cricket the money game so the true spirit of cricket gets lost
I think people are taking things too fast.
We need ODIs and test matches otheriwse good T20 players can not be made.
I don’t think players should get use to the idea of just playing for th IPL.
Crikcet is also about the country you play for.
yeah in the fiture every have the own cricket league as ipl in their annual holidays. but mate! its not the good idea of replacing the boxing day test with boxing day 20-20
ipl is already a success .but what i feel is that players will analyse their opponents and take advantage in the international level
