Those very inhumane sticky traps they have for mice work very well for crickets.

Cricket hunting is an art. I nail them all the time in my house and this year we have some big noisy crickets. You dont want to try to sneak up on them. You need to just walk in the direction of the noise. As you get closer to the cricket it will become louder and throw its noise in the opposite direction. That is until you are damn near on top of it. Then it shuts up. That’s when you start looking behind things like planters, books, boxes etc. So you don’t get poisoned yourself don’t use bug spray to get them, we tend to over spray and end up sick. What I use is spray adhesive. Once you nail em or even get close, they’re not going anywhere. Then you get your revenge. (CRUNCH) happy hunting

I hate that problem…my brother used to not keep the lid on his lizard cage on right and the crickets used to escape behind and under funiture all the time…mostly it just takes patience to find them…if you have any hearing problems that make it difficult to locate sounds that could hurt…Another solution: Forget tryin to attract it…go buy a small lizard from the pet shop and let it loose in your house(unless your deathly afraid of reptiles) it will hunt them out and then dissapear when it has no food source
