    its infinity, think if the bowler bowls no balls all the time.
    so it goes
    runs possible in an over {0,1,2,3,4,…….n…..ά}
    if it is a legitimate six ball over the maximum score will be 48.
    the batsmen runs 3 runs and then when the fielder throws the ball it doesn’t go to the boundry but gets stuck in the helmet of the keeper or close in fielder you get 5 runs. so 8×6=48

    An over in Test cricket constitutes 6 legal deliveries.
    Technically, there’s no limit to the runs that can be scored as no-balls are not counted as legal deliveries and runs scored of them are also included as runs scored in that over.
    Wide balls cannot be scored off, but if the ball runs to the boundary, you’ll get 1+4 = 5 runs.
    Overthrows are also possible, but rare
    Assuming there are no no-balls, wides or overthrows, the maximum that can scored in an over is 36 runs, which means a 6 was scored of all 6 deliveries.

    36. As Yuvaraj Singh had taken in 20-20 world cup

    Even a hundred if it extends to a 15+ ball over,but only 36 in a good over.
    (edit)But theoritically i think max. 7 runs can be taken in a delivery(3 by running and 4 for overthrow)
    In that case 42 runs can be scored in a legitimate over.
