I Have A Cricket Myshot Ii Phone That Has Been Damaged. If I Have Insurance, Will They Replace My Phone 4 Free?

I, again, have the Cricket Myshot II phone and recently it has sustained a liquid damage to the screen and will not continue to function. I do pay for monthly insurance; so if I take it back to a Cricket store will they replace my phone for free?? I have heard that an addtional ridiculous fee follows when going through insurance.. Please tell me what i should do!

    There is usually an insurance deductible and insurance rarely covers water damage.
