If You Were The Cricket Coach For New Zealand What Selection Changes Would You Make For The Next Series?

Andy Moles comes in at a great time. We can’t get any worse than we are. We are the worst test cricket team in the world. If you were him would you select different players or is this a case of the right players not yet reaching their potential.
You have to look at what is needed before deciding on who to discard.
We need reliable openers…tradesmen, not dashers – and a solid number 3 &4. Plus a genuine all-rounder assuming Oram is unfit. Plus a pair of good pace bowlers supported by genuine spinners and a true first change.
Problems exist finding these guys in the present scene.
But, based on what we have, I’d play these guys:
Redmond – give him the Windies series as last chance
Bell – yes, I’d give him the whole Windies series
Howe – ideal No3
Taylor
Ryder
Oram
McCullum
Vetorri
Franklin
O’Brien
Martin
Patel/O’Brien depending on track
I’d dump Elliott and replace him with Jacob Oram. I’d dump Tim Southee and bring in someone like Bradley Scott or Kyle Mills. They’d both strenghten the tail, plus I think Southee needs a few more first class matches before he’s ready for test cricket.
I’d like to see Greg Hay play for New Zealand too, he averages 41 in first class cricket. He has a lot of potential.

Ryder , Taylor will be our long term # 3 and 4, Mr Moles will need to find a good #5 perhaps a bolter from the domestic scene , Mark Gilliespie should return for O Brien, as for openers, How and Redmond should have another go because we have no one else… dire ..
I will have a team consisting of: Vettori, McCullum, Taylor, Ryder, Oram, Bell, How, Gillespie, O’Brien, Martin and Patel (or Mills).
I would go for ryder and How as openers

NZ lacks quality batsman like Flemming,so they ve to try some new batsman in their middle order.
I’d elevate Chris Martin to opening batsman
PLEASE – we are officially third worst! I’d sack the lot of them and bring in Christchurch Boys’ High’s First XI.

Why don’t u just ask Shane Bond to quit the ICL nonsense and come back and blow the Aussies away
