Even the ministers want to be chairmen of the cricket boards. The game consumes our precious time and the fans spend huge sum of money and there are bettings also.

My dear, popularity hardly ever follows propriety. In fact one may even argue that with so much to do for our huge population to be reasonably healthy, wealthy and wise, our country should ban all sporting activities!! Practical life is much more than paper logic!!

Politicians always want to be in the lime light: can’t fault them.
You talk about so many skill games…but has India excelled in any of them. In the past cricketers used to get pea nuts, yet they brought glory and fame to the country. Let the skill games prove, the fans will follow. Till then, it will be cricket.
