teams like India and Sri Lanka are good at home but pathetic away fm home. the cricket ratings however does not differentiate between the home and away series. so, a team has the same rating for the home and away series.
keeping this in mind, should there be a seperate ratings for home and away series for each team just as there are different ones for test and 1day cricket?

RATINGS IS ALL WASTE.
YOU CANT FIX SEPERATE STANDARDS FOR HOME AND AWAY.
BUT YOU CAN ABOLISH THE RANKINKS SYSTEM.
Yes, you r right.
Almost all the nations prepare the pitch according to their strengths.
So there should be some bonus points for teams playing away matches.
I guess ICC doesnt have this rule as they always insists the home team to prepare friendly and competitive pitches, which sometimes are seen in Australia, England and South Africa.
Even if the visiting team complains about the pitch conditions the host team may have some fine and sometimes the venue is shunned for international matches for few years.
So sooner or later home team wouldnt have much advantage apart from the support of the spectators.
no i dont agree with u teams like srilanka & india as u say r not so pathetic away fm home cause take the ex. of world cup 2003 india in foreign soil[south africa] made it till the finals & the natwest series 2002 india beat englan on their home soil[in england] itself. in dec2003-jan 2004 in tests india won a test match in australia….. seeing all this my ans is no
nopes
No i dont think so
India and sri lanka can be as good as they are playing at home even if they are away…..
Infact countries tend to play better away because their hardly is any pressure on them to impress india live that is…..
All im saying no i dont think there should be anything like that but it sound like a good thought
