Is a cricket ball as hard as a baseball?

In many games like cricket, golf, tennis and baseball, we notice that a spinning ball deviates from its parabolic trajectory as it moves through air.
I know that this deviation can be partly explained on the basis of Bernoulli’s principle, I already have text regarding this topic, I was just wondering if someone could explain the phenomenon in simpler words.

I don’t watch either game, but I was always puzzled why baseball guys wear a glove and Cricket guys don’t. They still have to catch the ball. Would the Baseball guys be better off without the glove.

What are the differences?I tried baseball.Although fun,it failed to get me hooked.I saw matches of circket.It seems like a fun sport,with more freedom than baseball;seems more fun than baseball.Anyone could leave a reliable websites for these two sports?I really want to try cricket out.
