If Chandra is still alive, that’s a considerable difference between him and Kerry Packer (note spelling!).
Both media baron started rebel league against International cricket and attracted lot of international cricketers.

Packer was responsible for the revolution of ODI cricket by starting World Series Cricket.
Chandra was responsible for the T20 revoluton in India and BCCI only took up the idea of IPL after Chandra introduced ICL.
They were both businessmen, Kerry Packer was the founder of world series cricket and Chandra had a contract with the BCCI for Indian board’s telecast rights for international matches.
Difference?
one was successful and the other wasn’t?
