What Does The Trumpet In The Ipl Cricket Crowd Mean?

6 February 2010 4 Comments

Me and my friends have been watching the Indian Premier league Cricket on Setanta and every so often there is a trumpet riff in the crowd and everyone cheers.
Does any body know what it means and why everyone cheers?

It is played by the DJ.It is used to cheer up the spectators.I think Conny/Jackman or someone was with a DJ and that’s when the DJ played it and all the crowd cheered. So he said that the crowd love it for sure.

    Just encouragement.
Like they do on Football grounds. It must be traditional for SA.
Also I think they are a way to involve SA
