What Is Happening To The Cricket Section?

For a few days now, I get the feeling the enthusiasm of users from all countries is waining in the cricket section; somehow users are posting less qs & as. Is it so, or is it just my imagination?
I personally think it has more to do with focus shifting from Cricket to other things in life. Most of the questions were related to slandering either Cricket teams or individual players. You think about the situation in Mumbai now and suddenly such fights over sports seem so petty. I think that’s why the questions have gone down.
Dont mind about it please.
Yes, you are right actually, there isnt a lot of questions being posted here from a few days. You know, I dont normally ask questions, but today even I asked one because there was very less questions available.
Most of the users are from India here, and we can understand the situation in their country. Most probably they are bit troubled with the current situation in their country, and thats why are not being able to to ask or answer frequently like before.
Cricket is not more interesting than the terror attacks on India.
I was very busy following the Mumbai incidents and cricket felt silly when the country is under attack.
Sandeep Unnikrishnan is a bigger hero than Sachin Tendulkar.
Bihar regiment that saved Mumbai appeared to be more relevent than the Bihari-baiter Raj Thackeray.

At the moment,there are 280 open questions which is USUAL as ever.So,this week has been the same as ever.Out of 280,I myself have asked more than 15 Qs with more than 8 of them getting over 25 answers.So,all the users are here as ever.
I think when the time you were online,there were not many users here.I have also observed that in the night time,after 10:OO.P.M[IST],hardly any people come online & hardly any questions are asked.Roger Federer is My God said hardly 2 questions are asked in this hour.But,during night,thats how it is.Not many people would be online at that time.If you ask a question at that time & that Q deserved to get lot of replies,you may maximum get 10-15 answers if that is a very good Q.Hardly,any people are online during the time of 10.P.M till the morning[IST].
So,there were not many questions asked in that time but there are lot other open questions to answer.& also,its true that no series are going on & Mumbai blasts has stunned the Indians,but I dont think that has made any difference in the cricket section!

1. I lost interest after the Terrorist attack. At such a time, inane Q loses meaning.
Come here for some amusing/interesting cricket discussion. All you see is bickering and Q like who is a good user/ which user you like.
2. There is no active Match in India. Indian users predominate.
Other country users usually have fun on Indian Cricket. Now they have no topic. How many time one can answer “who is your Fav and why” ….
3. Some good users have exams going on. Others have left cricket with Sourav!

I would say it has a been a fairly typical week.
Saare Jahaan Se Accha is ABSOLUTELY right, and I had exams too, which came to and end (at last). But I have started gaining that energy I had before. Otherwise, whenever I sit on the comp, I go to P&S. But now, it’s cricket. But this energy won’t last long…..since I’m having December classes!!
Well i’ve asked 3 questions in the past 24 hours or so and i’m still on here as enthusiastic as ever!!!
but i feel there is less life in this section and questions aren’t coming as freely as they usually do, maybe it’s just a phase.
I am new so I cant judge how many or much was being asked. However, I think that because India have stopped playing at the moment and the Aussies are winning there is less antagonistic questions being asked! Nah, seriously I am sure people are just busy with reality or something like that!
I think there is no real major series that India are in. As most of the users portray to be Indian, I think that they are not really interested in cricket, and they might have lost some interest while these terrorist attacks are going on.
I think recent events have left a sense of apathy amongst many users.
Its good to use the section to ask questions and to share humour , but I for one am in a different place for now.
I’ve been ill and haven’t been on as much.
but yeah I see what ya mean there ahs been a notiseable drop in Q and A’s. Good to see the hard working regulars are still here though.

Well, Nalaka is still active and asking his way to glory. lol. Yeah, you are right. It is kind of quiet in here these days. Must be because of the recent blasts in Mumbai, the Indian users have lost some interest.

Yes you are absolutely right. Only 1 or 2 questions have been posted in the last 1 hour itself.
People are probably running out of questions.
I think the whole Aus vs India war was somewhat of a blessing in disguise as it give us cricket users something to talk about.
Hopefully something can spark this section to life
In my case we disconnected the internet as we had carpet cleaners in yesterday and had to move the computer out till the carpets dried , so I have just got on to YA.
Its happening.. when big series going underway.. people ask many Qs..

I don’t find anything because this is how cricket section. Cricket section doesn’t have a lot users compare to other sports section.
yep India Sri lanka & pakistan are not getting as much as cricket matches as possible ,..
comparing to White frightening nations..
