To be honest it’s India…
Test cricket ? Right now, probably India…but form changes all the time. A couple of years ago it was England. Sri Lanka are also very strong, and Pakistan can either be great or terrible, depending on which week it is!
In ODIs, its South Africa. India are world champs in 20/20 only …and that is not proper cricket.

Why some people answered that Australia is not strongest, I strongly condemn it. Super power Australia is still no.1”’!!!!!!!! well, recently they lost some match but does not matter.

and in one day No.2 Srilanka
Remember Kumara Sangakara is the best batsman in the world.
Australian cricket has set standards of its own.Its very tough for any team to get closer to that standards,but India is doing good.
The test rankings go:

2. India
3.Sri Lanka
4. South Africa
5. England
And these are the ODI rankings:
1. Australia
2. South Africa
3. New Zealand
4. India
5. Sri Lanka

South Africa , India are not strong enough on the bowling front. If England can override their present injury situation then they will be closest to the Aussies , who of course are the strongest side still.
India. C’mon before the winning streak strted India was the last to defeat Australiaat Adelaide Oval 2003. We then ended it in Perth 08. Through that time Australia played against every team, no one was abke to defeat them. India did it. ODI, we just bet them on Sunday.
On paper you would have to say India but they (like the others) lack consistency. It will interesting to see what happens are more of the old guard retire.
South Africa are always a decent team and when playing well England are a reasonable threat.
Sri Lanka are worth mentioning and at the moment they, along with the 3 teams mentioned above are the closest to Australia in terms of tests.

Obviously, it is India. In Tests, India has halted the Aussies’ 16-Tests winning streak not once, but twice. They have also won Tests beating Australia in Australia. They were also the first Asian team to win a Test at Perth. They are the second best team behind Australia. Their main problem is lack of consistency. Even the Aussies feel threatened by our Indian team and they have also said that India is a tough opposition.
First of all now Australia in not the best team . Then there is no? who is the next.

I think at the moment India are the strongest all-round nation (test,ODI and T20) behind Australia.
